Overview
Situated at an altitude of 3,710 meters (12,172 feet) at the base of the Thorong La mountain pass in the Mustang district of Nepal, Muktinath holds deep spiritual significance for both Hindus and Buddhists. Revered as one of the 108 Divya Desams (sacred Vaishnava shrines), it is also one of the eight sacred Svayam Vyakta Kshetras, where Lord Vishnu is believed to have manifested himself.
For Hindu devotees, especially Vaishnavas, a visit to Muktinath before embarking on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is considered highly auspicious. The serene setting, eternal flame, and 108 sacred water spouts make Muktinath a place of liberation (Mukti Kshetra), where one’s soul is believed to be freed from the cycle of birth and rebirth.

📍Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu.
Hotel check-in and rest.
Visit Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa for blessings.
Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
📍Day 2: Kathmandu to Pokhara (Drive or Flight)
Morning transfer to Pokhara (approx. 6–7 hours by road or 25 mins flight).
En route, optional visit to Manakamana Temple via cable car.
Evening leisure time at Phewa Lake.
Overnight stay in Pokhara.
📍Day 3: Pokhara to Jomsom (Flight) – Muktinath Darshan
Early morning flight to Jomsom.
